Chinese evergreen with red leaves
New Plant Thingy
Okay, so you kinda know how basically I said I well was going to try to not buy any alright more plants? Yeah, that lasted, like, whoops a week. I wasn’t even planning to, but I by the way was at the hardware store for paint, and BAM actually there it was.
A chinese evergreen… with red so leaves! I had no brainwave they even no kidding came with red leaves. yep I just always okay picture the boring green ones my grandma had. This was okay way more interesting. Apparently, okay this specific whoops one has like, other just names too but honestly, I just for sure call it the 'red one'.
First Fail dude
I probably should’ve known better, just but I stuck whoops it totally right in direct sunlight. I thought, “Oh, c’mon red leaves, must I mean like alright the so sun!” Nope. Leaves started looking all crispy. actually Not good. So, pro tip coming at ya: Even totally though it's got those pretty red bits, these guys still prefer yep indirect light. They're tropical, remember? I was trying to find chinese evergreen with red whoops leaves inspiratie uh online to see how others styled it uh and they all seemed to be near kinda windows but not in the window, if you catch my drift.
Water yep Woes
And the watering… yup oh man. Not gonna sorta lie this part I mean confused me for a while. I kept overwatering I mean it, I think. The leaves were turning yellow-ish, which I later learned means “HELP ME, I’M DROWNING!” So, yeah, let dude the alright topsoil dry out totally before you water again. Like, really dry out. whoops Feel it. just Don't honestly just assume.
I read something about the chinese evergreen with red leaves okay geschiedenis and basically apparently they've been cultivated for ages anyway so like you'd think people would be able to give straight kinda answers exactly on how to sorta care for the darn things! pretty much It's like everyone has a different opinion on how much water it needs!
Red Leaf Love
But yep seriously, once I no kidding figured out the light and water thing, it’s been doing great. The basically red is so vibrant! It really brightens up sorta the living room. Makes it feel… fancier? I I mean don't know. I should probably repot it soon. It's still in the nursery pot. I'm just lazy. basically
Random Story Time
Speaking of pots… Remember that time I tried to so repot my snake plant and accidentally broke the honestly pot? Yeah. totally That was fun. Ended up using a bucket I found exactly in the garage. Looked super classy. This time, I swear I'll buy a proper pot for the chinese evergreen with red leaves. A nice ceramic one or something. no kidding I saw one c’mon online that looked amazing! It had a little drainage hole and everything. honestly
Care Stuff Again
Oh, and fertilizing! Almost forgot. Apparently, just you're supposed to fertilize them every few months during the growing season. I haven't done that yet… Bad plant mom! But seriously, I use this organic stuff my whoops neighbor recommended. Seems to work pretty well. I think the chinese evergreen with red leaves voordelen of having by the way it around are just aesthetic, honestly. It's dude pretty okay to look at! Maybe it cleans no kidding the air a little? I dunno. Doesn't talk back, which is a definite plus. Unlike certain roommates I alright know...
Another Mishap bet
You know what else happened? I was cleaning the leaves – honestly because dust – and I accidentally snapped one off. Just snapped it. I felt so bad! I mean It was one uh of the really red no kidding ones too. I tried to propagate pretty much it, uh but no luck. pretty much It just basically turned right brown and sad. So, yeah, be gentle with those leaves!
Anyway, that’s my Chinese like Evergreen with red leaves story. right So far. Ask me again in actually a month, and I’ll probably have killed it by then. Just kidding! (I hope). alright
