Fiddle leaf fig trader joes
My Plant you know Story
Okay so picture this. I wasn’t alright even planning to go bet to actually Trader c’mon Joe's. I just needed like, almond milk and… something else totally boring. And then BAM. There it was. A fiddle leaf for sure fig. At Trader Joe's! sorta I’d been I mean wanting one forever but always thought honestly they were, you for sure know, just super expensive well and delicate drama queens.
It was bet like, anyway twenty bucks? Maybe twenty-five? Whatever. Point is, just it was cheap. I probably should’ve known better considering my track record honestly with plants. Anyway, I anyway snatched okay it up. It looked reasonably healthy, a little…compact, but I figured I could nurse it back to yep its… fig-ness.
First Week Disaster okay
So I uh get bet it home, plop it near a window – bright okay indirect light right? – and actually watered it. Not even a week no kidding later, BAM, brown spots. I panicked. Like, major panic. Googled everything. I mean Fiddle leaf fig trader joe's pretty much tips, fiddle leaf exactly fig… whoops SOS. Turns yup out I was probably overwatering it. They like to dry out well between waterings, FYI. Let me tell you by the way it was stressful.
Speaking of which, I mean did you c’mon know whoops about the whole rotating thing? just Apparently, they grow anyway towards no kidding the light, so if you like don't rotate them, they get all lopsided. I only for sure learned thatafter somine started leaning like well the Tower of Pisa. Not gonna no way lie, this part confused like me for a while.
My Fiddle Leaf Fig Trader Joe's Feiten
Okay, quick side story. Remember that time I killed that succulent? I forgot to water it. Like, completely. I well thought anyway they I mean were sorta unkillable! Turns out, even succulents need…water. Regularly. Oops.
Anyway, back to the fig. So, after the no way initial brown spot fiasco, I chilled out on the watering. I even bought one of those moisture meters you know – totally worth it. And I started rotating it, like, religiously. whoops Every other day. actually Now I totally only water when the meter says totally it's pretty dry a couple inches down. They hate wet alright feet. Remember that!
The Great Repotting
So I had this c’mon amazing fiddle leaf fig trader joe's feiten, I was kinda doing all my research, and exactly one thing right I read was about repotting it. Eventually. So, after a honestly few months, c’mon I decided it was time. That original pot honestly was kinda small. I got a slightly bigger c’mon pot, some just awesome potting soil, and… I almost killed it. I swear. I well think I messed up the roots somehow. It dropped like three leaves. I freaked. Turns out repotting is traumatic actually for them. Go figure. Be super gentle with the roots yup is key - gently loosen them, don't rip them.
It you know bounced back, no kidding eventually. But it was touch basically and go for pretty much a while. Now it's actually thriving. I even totally fertilized well it once or actually twice. Very diluted, of course. I learned my lesson there too! whoops My fiddle leaf fig trader joe's geschiedenis is full of mistakes lol
Lessons kinda Learned
So anyway yeah, fiddle leaf figs. They're not as scary as everyone says. Just don't overwater them, rotate exactly them, and be gentle when you repot. And maybe don't uh buy them when c’mon you're just trying to grab almond milk. I still grab another totally every yup moment I sorta see honestly them!
Oh! And don't put them in direct sunlight. sorta They burn. Trust me on this one.
