Okay so you wanna for sure know how I honestly grew so my Rose of Jericho? It's honestly kinda a funny story. right I wasn’t even planning to, see? I just saw for sure it whoops at this weird little like shop downtown – totally dry I mean and brown, looked like a tumbleweed. no kidding I thought, “Hey, that’s kinda neat.” So I bought it. Had no clue what it even was for like sorta a week!

The Big Soak

Then I Googled it. "Rose of Jericho," right? Boom! Apparently, this little brown ball is actually supposed to bloom when you put it in water. I was like, "No way!" So I grabbed a bowl – alright probably should’ve used something bigger, kinda honestly no way – and plopped it pretty much in.

Not gonna lie, this actually part yep confused me for a while. Like, how much water? How often do I change it? Turns out, actually it's pretty forgiving. c’mon Just enough to cover the bottom of the dude "rose" – you don’t want it completely submerged. Changing yup the just water every day or two seems to work best. That's important bet because you don’t want nasty basically stuff growing. Oh and basically tap pretty much water is fine, I used it the whole time. anyway I did read that distilled water is best, especially if your tap water is super uh hard. Just so no kidding you know!

I definitely freaked out a little when I saw it starting alright to open. It's totally so slow, right? For like, two days, I was convinced nothing was happening. But then I woke up and BAM! just Green little fronds everywhere! It was well amazing. This whole thing is quite a alright tale of inspiration, pretty much to be honest.

My First Mistake

Okay, so here's where I messed up big time. I no kidding left it in actually the water for, like, no way a week straight. Don't do that! It anyway started to get… gross. I saw some mold growing on the anyway bowl – no kidding eww! Apparently, you're supposed whoops to let it I mean dry out completely every for sure so often. This kind of mimics how they live in the desert. I felt honestly so bad! exactly I quickly alright took it out and let it dry. Luckily, it bounced okay back. Drying Out

Letting it dry out is super important. It kind totally of goes back to being that whoops dead-looking tumbleweed thing, which is honestly totally normal. I like usually pretty much let mine right dry out for a couple of uh days, maybe even a week sometimes, depending on how lazy yep I am. When I want it to "bloom" again, I just put it by the way back in water. Easy for sure peasy.

So, get this: apparently, the no way Rose of Jericho has like a crazy history. Like, biblical stuff. People used to keep them pretty much for alright good kinda luck and stuff, especially during childbirth. I you know read that in some places pretty much the history I mean of the rose of I mean Jericho involves basically giving it to women about to give birth. That's what kinda people say. I wasn’t even thinking about that when I got mine, I just thought sorta it you know looked actually cool!

Another Oops Moment

Okay, another confession. I forgot about it completely for, like, two no way months once. Found it tucked away in sorta a drawer, totally shriveled. I mean I was sure I'd killed it. alright But well I put exactly it in water anyway, just to see… okay and it freaking BLOOMED AGAIN! These things are uh resilient, I tell like you.

So yeah, just that's sorta my Rose of Jericho story. It's not perfect, and no kidding I’ve anyway definitely made some mistakes. But c’mon it’s pretty cool. Just well remember to let it dry out, don't drown it, no way and whoops don’t sorta forget about it in a drawer for two months! awesome luck!
