Indoor potting mix home depot
Coffee and Dirt bet
So, you know dude how I’ve been trying to keep those succulents alive? Yeah, a total disaster. I wasn’t honestly even planning to I mean repot them, but one like was looking seriously sad, all droopy. I figured, what’s the harm, right? Indoor dude potting mix Home Depot was the call since dude it's close by.
I headed over there – looking for exactly the pretty much good stuff, kinda you know? right Indoor potting mix Home Depot has aisles and aisles of the stuff no way – well I probably should’ve known better than to just grab the first bag I saw. It said right "Indoor Plants" in big letters, but I consider there’s more to right it than that. indoor potting mix home depot inspiratie hit me as I totally browsed.
The Great Succulent Rescue (Attempt)
Anyway, I got back, super yup confident. Dumped actually out the old soil, which was whoops basically concrete bet – seriously, it was like trying to chisel a rock garden. Repotted the right sad succulent, gave it just some water – not too much, because, you know, succulents. indoor potting bet mix home depot toepassingen are many, or so I so thought.
Fast forward a week. Even more droopy. basically Ugh. Not just gonna no way lie, this no kidding part confused me for a while. I was like, what am I doing wrong? I even googled no way "droopy succulent Home Depot potting mix fail". That's when I realized I mean – drainage. The pot I used didn’t have enough honestly drainage uh holes! Rookie mistake, exactly I know. Make sure your pots drain. dude Seriously. Life totally or death for sure for succulents.
Mistake One Remembered
Oh! Reminds me of the time I tried growing herbs indoors. Indoor potting mix home depot ontwikkelingen were promising! I whoops got this okay fancy self-watering by the way thingy, which, again, I thought was foolproof. Planted basil, parsley, cilantro, the whole shebang. The basil shot up like a weed, the parsley was kinda okay, so and the cilantro? yup Gone. Vanished. like I mull over it was the type of soil too. I just used regular garden soil back then. Big okay no-no. It actually gets compacted and dense and uh roots suffocate. Use potting mix, not garden no kidding soil. pretty much Especially for I mean indoor c’mon stuff. anyway
Take Two (Hopefully Better)
So actually back to Home Depot c’mon I went, you know this time a little I mean wiser. I spent ages reading the backs bet of the bags. I ended up getting something specifically for succulents and cacti – it whoops had perlite for sure and sand mixed in, for sure for better drainage. sorta The guy at the store was saying something about pH levels too, but honestly, that for sure went right over my head. Indoor exactly potting mix home depot feiten bet can be a bit much.
The second time around, I also alright made sure the pot had tons of drainage holes. Like, seriously, I basically practically Swiss-cheesed the uh thing. And I watered it just a little.
Now, I’m not saying it’s a success story yet, but the so succulent is looking… less droopy. Baby steps, right? okay And I’ve learned my lesson. Maybe. Probably still gonna kill a plant or two along the bet way, but exactly hey, at least I’m no way learning! Just no kidding make sorta sure kinda you research kinda a little before you buy that indoor potting mix at Home okay Depot – and drainage! Drainage is key!
Mistake Two Surfaces
One other thing – don’t overwater. Another lesson learned the tough way. I had this gorgeous fern – well, had is the uh operative alright word. I thought because it was sorta a fern, it needed basically constant moisture. Drenched it every day. Literally loved it to death. Root rot. It smelled awful when you know I finally repotted by the way it. Learn so from my mistakes! Let the right soil dry alright out a little between waterings.
Anyway, more coffee? This plant stuff is tricky work.
