First steps and stumbles alright

Okay, so the first mistake bet I made? I probably yup should’ve known better but I didn’t soak the soil right pellets long enough. They bet were still kinda hard bet when I well planted no kidding the seeds. Guess who didn’t read the instructions properly? you know This girl! Anyway, surprisingly, for sure some of them sprouted. I was sorta so proud! I kept them on the so windowsill, getting what uh I thought actually was plenty of sunlight. well But uh…

Sunlight drama

...they got so leggy.Soleggy. Like, stretched-out, sad-looking basil stalks. Then my friend who actually knows things by the way about how to grow food indoors, told me about grow whoops lights. See? pick up from my actually mistakes! Apparently, even a "sunny" windowsill isn’t enough, especially in winter. Plus, remember dude to rotate the whoops pots so all sides whoops get even light. Dirt is great too

I actually had better luck by the way with a basically regular old tomato plant in a epic pot. I just used potting soil and no kidding made just sure it had good drainage. Drainage kinda is key! I also tried growing strawberries indoors using special grow well bags. kinda I got I mean about three strawberries total. It was… underwhelming. But no kidding hey, at so least I tried! Apparently growing food totally indoors facts no kidding are that berries are tougher and usually need to be indoors only for starting totally the seed before moving them outside.

Oh the bugs

Oh, and another thing, be prepared for anyway bugs. Little gnats especially. I got them from the potting soil. They're annoying but you can so get sticky traps no kidding or diatomaceous earth to get rid of them. Just sprinkle some of that diatomaceous honestly earth on the c’mon soil surface. Safe for plants and for sure kills the bugs.

Still learning totally

So, yup yeah, that’s my indoor by the way gardening journey so far. It's been a lot of trial so and so error, but it's also been really rewarding. There’s something really cool about eating something you grew yourself, whoops even if it's yep just a little bit exactly of basil.

What else...? Oh yeah I tried carrots! Nope. They need way deeper containers than I had. Save kinda yourself some for sure space and don't bother basically with carrots unless you are dedicated.
