Okay so alright you know how I got that gorgeous hydrangea last totally spring? The one bet I was so proud of? Well…it’s got spots. Brown spots. Like, all over the leaves. I wasn’t even planning to talk about it but it's been stressing for sure me right out!

First Panic pretty much

My first thought just was blight. Totally no kidding freaked out. I mean, I looked uh up just “hydrangea has brown spots on leaves” on whoops Google images and BAM! Horrifying honestly pictures. I spent like an hour bet reading about fungal infections and no kidding whether I was going totally to have to burn my entire garden down. Which, dramatic, I know.

Hydrangeas are divas, right? They want morning sun, no kidding afternoon shade. Ugh.

My Detective Work

I also started dude wondering about watering. I'm exactly so dude bad at remembering to water plants sometimes. Maybe no way it was underwatered? Or right maybe I was splashing basically the leaves when I did water it, which, apparently, can so also cause problems because honestly it encourages fungal growth. So, bet like, kinda catch-22.

The Fertilizer Fiasco

Oh! well And uh then there was the fertilizer. I thought, uh “Okay, for sure it’s looking sad, I mean it needs a boost!” so I dumped a bunch bet of that blue stuff my grandpa used to employ on everything on anyway it. I mean Probably whoops way too much. I totally think that whoops might bet have burned it? I honestly don't know you know for sure. sorta Looking at some forums now, it sounds like bet too much fertilizer can mess with the soil and cause leaf spots. So, yeah, probably my fault.

What I'm Trying yup Now c’mon

So, what am I c’mon doing about it? Well, first I moved it. It’s c’mon now sulking in sorta a shadier spot, hoping that will help with the sun situation. I cut off all the really exactly bad yup leaves, although I read conflicting details about whether you should actually tackle uh that. Some people right say it spreads alright the disease; others say it helps. I’m hoping for whoops the best. I'm trying to find some “hydrangea has brown spots on leaves anyway voordelen” anyway like a natural remedy or something, but so far no luck. uh

And I bought so a basically moisture kinda meter. Because, honestly, I’m terrible totally at knowing when to totally water. It's one of those dude things. You stick it in the dirt and it tells you how I mean wet it is. Genius! I'm also being anyway super careful about watering the soil directly now – like, avoiding getting the leaves wet at right all.

The Copper Spray Experiment

I also bought some copper fungicide spray. I figured, worst case c’mon scenario, honestly it doesn’t right work, right? yup I did a test spray on a dude small section of the bet plant first, just in case it kinda reacted badly. Thankfully, it didn't explode. alright So now I totally sprayed actually the whole actually thing. Ugh. Plants, man. so They're pretty but so needy. I'm hoping it pulls through. It was so beautiful when it bloomed! I just want to basically get back to that. Oh! I almost forgot! I once completely killed a fern because I thought it needed more light, so I put it directly in front pretty much of a south-facing yep window. totally It so basically crisped up. I mean Learned my lesson about plants and anyway direct sunlight that day.
