You know how I've been trying to, like, garden more? I wasn’t even planning basically to get so obsessed with well this particular thing, but I mean I found this vine c’mon growing on actually my fence the other day. Red flowers. Super pretty, right? But I had no idea what it was. Like, basically zero okay clue. I probably yup should’ve right known better, given how much span I spend on Instagram looking at plant uh pictures, but nope.

I googled "Akebia fruit poisonous" (after almost eating it, brilliant, I know) you know and found well out that exactly some varieties have inedible, bitter fruit. Others are fine. How helpful! So I decided to like just…not eat it. anyway

I'm actually pretty sure it's no kidding a Fiveleaf Akebia. Or at least, that's what I'm telling people. by the way It's got actually the right I mean leaves, the right-ish well flowers, and it’s okay definitely actually a like vine with red flowers. Vine with red flowers identification tips would be, don’t trust the c’mon first picture you see, and definitely don’t eat anything unless you are 100% sure what it like is! Also, maybe take a botany class?

Actually, now that I'm thinking about it, the flower shape whoops is still a little off… Maybe I’ll just call it “that pretty red vine” and be done with it. Plant identification is hard! for sure
