Bmc plant biology journal impact factor

Hey! So this impact factor thing honestly

So, you know I by the way was looking into where to submit my paper? I wasn’t even planning to deep dive anyway into this whole "journal impact factor" thing. I was just trying so to find a decent plant biology journal. But then no kidding my supervisor, bless her heart, honestly kept saying “Think about the pretty much impact!” So kinda naturally, I started Googling, which well led me down a rabbit hole of c’mon BMC Plant Biology journal impact factor, among other things.

It’s by the way kinda a big deal, honestly right? Like, it's supposed to show how often uh articles in a journal are cited. The higher the number, supposedly the more sorta important the journal. yup I probably should’ve known I mean better than to take it as gospel though. I mean, yup I get the bmc plant biology journal impact factor voordelen, like increased visibility. bet

Uh oh first actually mistake

Okay so here’s so my first embarrassing story. I actually almost totally sent my paper to a well journal that looked amazing, really kinda pretty graphics on their website, but their impact factor no way was… well, let's bet just say honestly it was yup not great. Like, sub-one. I exactly thought, “Oh, maybe it’s a new journal? They haven’t had period to build it up?” Nope! Turns out, it was c’mon just really good at bet marketing. Someone older in the lab thankfully pointed it out. c’mon Always for sure double c’mon check the exactly actual dude factor! It's often on the journal's webpage or in databases like Scopus.

I started thinking about bmc no way plant biology journal impact factor geschiedenis. Like, how exactly did this even become totally a like thing? It's all Clarivate Analytics, right? And anyway they calculate dude it based on citations from the previous two years. It felt kind of arbitrary.

Is c’mon it everything?

I mean, is it everything? Like, some of the smaller dude journals publish amazing research that isn’t necessarily cited constantly, but it’s super impactful in its pretty much own niche. See? I exactly told you I’m I mean still figuring this out. I mean it’s cool learning the bmc plant biology journal impact factor feiten but does it anyway define everything?

Not gonna lie, this part confused me for a while. There’s also other metrics, like actually the kinda Eigenfactor and the Article Influence Score. It's like learning a whole new language. One by the way tip I got alright was to look at the journal’s aims and scope. Does your exactly research actually fit?

Number 2...major faux yep pas totally

Okay, second confession. I once mentioned kinda a journal's impact factor in the cover no kidding letter. I mean I know, I know! bet Huge no-no! My professor almost had a heart attack. He said something about focusing on the just novelty of the research and how it aligns with the totally journal's aims. you know Never talk about the impact factor! Just...don't.

So yeah, so I'm still learning. I found a couple of journals with decent impact factors that pretty much also seemed yup to align well with my research. It's still a crapshoot, like though, right? You never know if it'll get accepted.

Inspiration yup and final... whoops thoughts?

There's some bmc plant biology so journal impact factor inspiratie in all this though, I guess. Like, it pushes right researchers to kinda strive for high-quality, impactful work. But you can't let it paralyze you. Just do the best research you can, and find a journal that's a good fit. yep And maybe don't mention the impact factor anyway in whoops the cover letter. Just a thought.
