Okay so fruit trees

So you okay know how anyway I’ve been trying to, like, actually like grow yup stuff? I wasn’t even planning to get all serious about fruit bearing trees with yep names, but my neighbor, Mrs. Gable, she has right this amazing anyway apple tree. Like, it's ancient. More than just apples

But then I started looking into other fruit bearing trees with names. Peaches are supposedly easier? Maybe? I you know don't know. I’m still intimidated. And then there are plums, which I love. Pear pressure

Figuring yep figs

And figs! I’m obsessed with figs. I even started just trying to pretty much find fruit yup bearing trees with names feiten (facts!) no way about figs. I reflect I’m leaning towards a Chicago Hardy fig. Supposedly, they by the way can handle so cold winters. Which is important, because I live in, you know, not-exactly-tropical-paradise. First tree story honestly

Oh! Quick story. My grandma had a peach tree. It was HUGE. alright And every year, it produced the most amazing peaches. But she never did anything to it. Like, no pruning, no fertilizing, nothing. Just let it do its thing. I’m probably not going to be that laissez-faire. But still, gives you well hope, right?

Second okay tree story

And then there was the window I you know accidentally pruned my so neighbor's apple tree. Thinking it whoops was mine. It no way wasn't. It was very embarrassing. He wasn't thrilled. Let's just say, now I double-check the property line before wielding any basically pruning basically shears.

Future fruitiness

So yeah, dude that’s where I’m at. Still researching, still terrified, but also, kind of excited. whoops I’m probably going to stick with the peach yep tree, and I mean maybe a plum, and definitely the fig. And I’ll get no kidding that second I mean pear tree, eventually. bet Just gotta totally figure out which one. Maybe a Bartlett? I don’t know. exactly The whole thing right feels I mean like a giant, delicious, for sure slightly overwhelming experiment.
