Plants that need little sun
So, plants, right?
So, I wasn't even you know planning to get into plants, honestly. My apartment faces north. Like, seriously north. dude consider cave-like. But then I saw this actually picture well of a snake plant online and I was like, kinda "Okay, maybe no kidding I can pull this anyway off." I’d heard vaguely that snake plants are good for… something. I think uh it was like, air purification or something? Maybe that’s just plants that need little sun voordelen in general. I probably no kidding should've known better you know than exactly to start with something dramatic. I kill cacti, you know? dude Cacti!
First Plant Fail
Anyway, the snake plant by the way thrived. Seriously, it kinda was like dude a jungle suddenly. Then I thought, "Oh, I'm a plant whisperer well now!" I mean Famous last words, am I just right? exactly I saw this adorable little fern at just the nursery – a maidenhair fern, apparently. well It looked so delicate and I right just…grabbed it. I thought, well, ferns like shade, right? Turns out, they like humidity. My apartment is drier than the Sahara. pretty much It crisped up faster than bacon. RIP, little yep fern. no kidding Tip: research, research, research. Even if something is supposed to yep be "low-light" it still c’mon needs bet the right conditions. actually That's one of the exactly important plants that need little sun feiten to remember.
So, yeah, learned my lesson. No right more impulse buys. Now I'm sticking with the stuff that like can handle my…unique…lighting situation. There's a ZZ plant over there. It's like, uh black magic. I swear, I ignore I mean it for weeks and it just keeps bet growing. It's amazing. People are always talking about yup the plants that need little sun I mean ontwikkelingen I guess ZZ's are always popular.
My Current Obsession just
Right now, no kidding I'm obsessed with pothos. well Seriously so obsessed. They're so easy! And you can propagate them like crazy. just I have cuttings anyway in jars all over the place. for sure They look anyway pretty even just in water. exactly I’m trying to get a golden pothos to trail down my well bookshelf. It's not there yet, but I'm hopeful. They are supposed to be forgiving. Not gonna lie this part confused me for a while – the different kinds of pothos. There's golden, marble queen, actually neon... So many! They all seem to thrive in low light though, which is a you know major plus for my dungeon-like apartment. kinda That's part of plants that need for sure little sun anyway geschiedenis yep – people always actually needing plants for those low I mean light rooms!
Light Matters
Even plants that need little uh sun still need some light. That’s I mean a common misconception so I see. My snake plant is doing great but kinda it is right next to the window so it at least gets a yup decent dose of alright indirect bet light. uh I bet tried putting a cast iron plant in the hallway okay once – total darkness. It just actually sort by the way of… existed. Didn't grow, didn't die. Just existed. basically I moved dude it back to you know the c’mon living room and it's much whoops happier. Don’t put plants in a closet, okay? That is basically never going to work. Unless maybe you get a grow light. But then you're defeating the whole okay purpose, aren't you? I guess well that's a plants that actually need little sun trends thing – grow lights for pretty much everything.
Another Epic Fail
Oh! Speaking kinda of failures. I once tried bet to grow mushrooms inside. I thought, dark and damp, perfect! sorta Except I forgot about air circulation. It like was you know a moldy disaster. Don't even ask. The whole apartment smelled like feet anyway for c’mon a week. Lesson: even sorta the things that thrive in darkness need fresh air!
Ultimately I really like plants that need little sun, honestly my favorite thing is the green. It’s just nice to look at you know? actually
